Session One Activities
These activities will begin September 4th and end November 2nd. Each week will provide a new or continuing activity in the group. Children signed up for a club will be expected to participate in each week's activities.
Monday
Magic - The magic course provides a one-of-a-kind experience. We will focus on one magic trick per class. Students will learn confidence and coordination and impress their peers. Starts September 10; 7 lessons
Kickball - Let’s play ball! We will learn the rules of baseball while working as a team and having fun. Starts September 10; 7 sessions.
Tuesday
Drama - Students will learn the art of theater while building self-esteem. Students will work towards a small performance. Starts September 4; 9 sessions.
Gross Science - Each week students will do a science experiment that will make them squirm. Activities include making slime and investigating bugs. Starts September 4; 9 sessions.
Wednesday
Soccer - Students will learn the fundamentals of soccer in a non-competitive environment. Sessions will focus on skill development through fun drills. Starts September 5; 9 sessions.
No Bake Cooking - Students will learn to read and follow recipes in a safe no-bake environment. Students will make a recipe book for the end of the class as well. Class is for boys and girls. Starts September 5; 9 sessions.
Thursday
Jewelry Making - Students will learn different techniques as well as collaborate with peers to make a variety of jewelry. Projects include necklaces, earrings, bracelets and rings. Starts September 6; 9 sessions.
Woodworking - Students will work with their hands and make a variety of objects using wood. Students will learn to use tools to shape wood using their hands. Projects include birdhouses, clocks and race cars. Starts September 6; 10 sessions.
Friday
Sports Sampler - A variety of sports will be introduced each week. Sports include ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee golf and other more traditional sports. Starts September 7; 9 sessions.
Origami - Students will learn the proper techniques in paper folding. Each week students will make unique paper sculptures and learn how to read Origami technique books. Starts September 7; 9 session.
